6.73 FAQ-1031 Why do I see "orglab exited with status 53" error when I try to start FLEXnet Server?

FLEXnet server version 11.16 or later version requires Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable Package. If it is not installed, you will see one of the following error messages in the log file when you try to start FLEXnet server:

orglab exited with status 53 (this status is reserved but will never be generated)

OR,

 9:12:34 (lmgrd) orglab exited with status 255 ()
 9:12:34 (lmgrd) Since this is an unknown status, license server 
 9:12:34 (lmgrd) manager (lmgrd) will attempt to re-start the vendor daemon.

To solve this problem, please download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable Package:

• For 32bit OS, please download vcredist_x86-2012.exe
• For 64bit OS, please download vcredist_x64-2012.exe
