PD-Dialog-ErrBar-Tab
The 2D Error Bar tab at the data set level of the Plot Details dialog provides controls for editing the connect, color, line width, and other style properties of the error bars in a data plot, as well as the direction of the error bars. Error bars can be plotted as bars, lines or areas.
Error bars (whiskers) in box charts are customized using controls on the Box and Lines tabs of Plot Details.
Select the desired line connection for error bars from this drop-down list, which will plot error bars as lines. For details about Connect options, see Connect.
Select the desired color for error bar or its connected line from the list. Select Automatic to ensure that the error bar or line's color matches the associated symbol color in a data plot with symbols, or the associated line color if no symbols exist.
Enter or select the error bar line width. The error bar line width is in units of points. It is available only when No Line is chosen in Connect drop-down list.
Enter or select the error bar's connected line width. The line width is in units of points. It is available only when No Line is not chosen in Connect drop-down list.
Enter or select the error bar cap width. The error bar cap width is in units of points. It is available only when No Line is chosen in Connect drop-down list.
Select this check box to have the error bars be drawn through the points in the data plot. Each error bar will be drawn on top of the associated line or symbol. It is available only when No Line is chosen in Connect drop-down list.
Select this check box to apply the Style group settings to all the error bars plotted in the layer. It is available only when No Line is chosen in Connect drop-down list.
Select the desired line style for the error bar's connected line from this drop-down list. It is available only when No Line is not chosen in Connect drop-down list.
Determine whether to fill the area between error bars and the data plot. If it is checked, Pattern tab will be available in Plot Details dialog for fill area customization. For details about fill area customization, see Pattern tab.
Not available when Connect is set to No Line.
Select this check box to show error bars above the data plot, or pointing away from the X-axis, when the Relative radio button is selected (see below). This option is useful when editing error bars in a Column graph that includes separate columns with both positive and negative errors.
Select this check box to show error bars below the data plot, or pointing toward the X-axis, when the Relative radio button is selected (see below).
Select this box to draw error bars in the X (horizontal) direction.
Select the Absolute radio button to draw plus Y error bars always pointing up and minus Y error bars always pointing down.
Select the Relative radio button to draw plus Y error bars always pointing away from the X-axis and minus Y error bars always pointing toward the X-axis.
This drop-down list is enabled only when No Line is chosen in Connect drop-down list of Style group.
This controls the degree of transparency of the error bar (or line connecting the error bars). Move the slider or type a desired integer from 0 to 100 in the combination box. A value of zero (0) means the symbol or line is not transparent at all, and 100 means the symbol is fully transparent.
When Follow Symbol/Line Transparency is checked, the transparency of the error bars or connecting line will match that of the symbols.
