4.4.5 Splitting Worksheet into Panels using Dividers

Worksheets and matrixsheets can be split into panels using Dividers. You can scroll within each split panel while rows or columns in other panels remain visible.

Split worksheet/matrixsheet

You can split worksheet/matrixsheet from Origin's menu or by dragging the Divider.

  • Split from menu
  1. Make a worksheet or matrixsheet active. Highlight a cell.
  2. Select Window: Split from Origin's menu.
  3. The worksheet or matrixsheet will be divided into 4 panels by a horizontal Divider and a vertical one at the highlighted cell. To move the Divider to a new location, just drag the horizontal or vertical Divider to the desired row or column.
Note that when the highlighted cell is in the first column or row, only the horizontal or vertical Divider can be created.
  • Split by dragging the Divider
  1. Point the cursor to the bottom right of the sheet at the bottom end of the vertical scroll bar (horizontal Divider) or at the right end of the horizontal scroll bar (vertical Divider).
  2. When the pointer changes to a split pointer, drag it to your desired position. A horizontal or vertical Divider will be created.
