Origin 2025 Feature Highlights
Slicer: Graph-based Data Filtering
This feature provides an easy way to explore and compare data by applying filters directly on graphs, without changing the source data in the worksheet.
- All data in graph must be from the same worksheet
- Filters can be added to the Page, Layer, or Plot level of a graph
- Filters can be controlled from the left Slicer panel for easy manipulation
- Analysis tools and gadgets will update upon filtering data in the graph

Recent Origin Files Browser
Several improvements have been made for quick access of recent Origin files:
- Double click in workspace or Ctrl+F11 to open the browser
- List of recently opened/saved project, graph, and workbook files locally and on the Cloud
- Type in keyword to search in file name or path
- Open files in new instances
- Open multiple window files or append multiple projects
- Remove files from the list
- Customize number of projects, full path, accelerator key access in the File: Recent Projects fly-out menu
Time Series Pivot
Summarize data by date and time intervals and period
- Row-wise, column-wise, or row + column wise aggregation
- Two level grouping by setting aggregation interval and time period
- Fiscal year support with customizable start and end
- Several aggregation intervals including decade, year, quarter, month, week, day to hour, min, and customizable e.g. 12hour
- Aggregate by statistics quantities, e.g. sum, mean, ... to customizable "mean sd", etc.

Custom Report Style
Customize default style for report sheets:
- Select from a set of pre-shipped styles, or create your own
- Option to apply new style to all report sheets in project
- Report Styles dialog accessible from Preferences menu
Graph Styles
Quickly and easily change the look of your default graph by applying a graph style:
- Multiple graph styles shipped with Origin
- Easily edit/customize to create new styles
- Apply to active graph or multiple graphs in folder or project
Notes Window Preview
Notes Window Preview allows side-by-side view of notes source code and rendered view:
- Hotkey Ctrl + 2 to toggle the preview window on/off
- Hotkey Ctrl+R to refresh preview
- Drag the preview out of Origin or even to 2nd monitor as floating window
Batch Processing: New Dialog to build Summary Sheet
Interactively build a summary sheet for batch analysis:
- New dialog to build summary sheet
- Click on desired report sheet values to automatically add links to list
- Links to cell values, labels and embedded graphs also supported
- Further edit or reorder items in list to create your desired summary sheet

- Entering value in F(X) will apply to whole column
- Copy all open branches on hierarchical report as Image
- Export table on hierarchical report as ASCII file
