18.12.5 Wavelet Smoothing

Smoothing is a signal processing technique usually used to remove noise from signals. This function performs smoothing by cutting off the detail coefficients of the signal. The Cutoff option of this function determines the percentage of detail coefficients to be cut off. The greater this value is, the smoother the signal will be.

If the input comes from a graph, the denoised signal will be added to the input graph.

To Use Wavelet Smoothing Tool
  1. Make a workbook or a graph active.
  2. Select Analysis: Signal Processing: Wavelet: Smooth from the Origin menu.
