2.8 Stats Mode

What is Stats Mode?

From Origin 2025b, Statistics Mode is introduced. To focus on statistics routine, the stats mode hides most of the graph toolbar buttons and advanced analysis tools, which makes the interface cleaner and thus easier to find the desired statistical tools. It also pre-installs some popular statistics Apps, e.g. DOE. Stats Mode GUI.png


Since stats mode keeps only some basic menus and buttons, if you cannot find a tool from the interface, please use search box to find and execute it.

How to open Origin in Stats Mode?

  • You can install Origin with Stats Mode When installing Origin, on the "Origin for Statistics" page, select both Statistics Apps and Statistics Mode.

    Once done, Origin will be launched in the Stats Mode by default.
    Note: Refer to this page for step-by-step instructions of Origin installation.
  • If you have installed Origin without noticing the "Origin for Statistics" page, you can always switch to Statistics Mode from menu:
    Select menu Preferences: Mode: Stats
    Note that in this case you will need to manually install the statistics Apps you want.

How to turn off Stats Mode?

In any case you can to switch back to the old interface:

  • Select menu Preferences: Mode: Default
