Confidence-func

Description

Calculate the confidence interval for a population mean, using a normal distribution by default.

Syntax

double Confidence(double alpha, double std, int size[, int dist])

Parameters

alpha

, the significance level used to compute the confidence level.

std

The population standard deviation for the data.

size

, the sample size.

dist

Optional. Distribution.

• 1 = Normal distribution, default
• 2 = Student's T distribution

Return

Return the confidence interval for a population mean, or missing value "--" for error.
