Service Release 1 for Origin 2020
This patch can be applied to all language versions of 64-bit Origin/OriginPro 2020 (build 185) ONLY. To determine your current Origin/OriginPro build, run Origin and select Help:About Origin. Verify that the dialog box shows build number 9.7.0.185.
Reasons to Update
You can obtain this patch, as well as any uninstalled Help files, by running the software and selecting Help: Check for Updates from the Origin menu. This opens a dialog box that allows you to select and Get Updates. When the patch file downloads, you will be prompted to run the patch now. Click Yes to close Origin and install your patch and any selected support files. When finished, see the Note at the bottom of this page for instructions on confirming your patch installation.

Help files are unchanged from Origin 2020 release build 9.7.0.185. However, if you did not previously install the Origin 2020 CHM files and would like to obtain them, first apply the software patch, then select Help: Check for Updates. Alternately, download a zip file
and install them to the \E\Help, \J\Help, or \G\Help subfolder under C:\ProgramData\OriginLab\97\Localization\.
To obtain the zip file of the correct language, make sure you have set the language option using the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner of this page before downloading the zip file.

Instructions
To install the manually-downloaded patch, follow these instructions:
- Close all other applications, including Origin/OriginPro 2020.
- Download Service Release 1 from the table above.
- Save the patch to your Origin ProgramData\OriginLab\97\Updates folder.
Note: Please do NOT rename the file.
- Run the patch by double-clicking on the file in Windows Explorer. Alternatively, select the Start button on your desktop and then the Run menu.
Locate the file using the Browse button and click OK.
Note: When you have applied this patch, your Origin version number should be build 188. You can confirm that the installation has completed successfully by launching Origin/OriginPro, selecting Help: About Origin and verifying that the dialog box shows build number 9.7.0.188.
