The graph represents the part of total solar radiation that is reflected by the Earth’s surface (the albedo). In the graph the albedo is between 9% and 26.7%, as seen in the color scale to the right of the graph. These albedo values are experimental measurements made using telemetrized data of from a solar cell experiment during March of 1999. The data were received in real time when the satellite SCD2 was inside the view of the signal reception station located in the city of Cuiaba-Brazil (latitude=-16 and longitude=-56).
