This Origin graph displays water column sampling locations, showing the station name as well as what is sample at each station, in Massachusetts Bay. This graph was used by the monitoring project associated with the future relocation of Boston sewage effluent outfall as part of the Boston Harbor cleanup. In creating the graph, the trick is to allow for the aspect ratio at the latitude you are working at. You adjust the layer width in relation to the scaling factor and region to be plotted. Origin gives the user complete control to adjust the layer size in units of % of page, inch, cm, mm, pixel, or point. Also note that an inset layer was used to show an enlarged area of the graph.
