The graph depicts the anisotropic decay of 1,6-Diphenyl-1,3,5-hexatriene in toluene (25 mg/ 25 ml) at 430 nm. Experimental data (pump pulse and sample responses) were imported into Origin as ASCII data. To deconvolve experimental responses, user-defined fitting functions were created. They were defined as first and second order exponential decays convolved with the experimental pulse response. Fluorescence lifetimes and sample were obtained by channel (memory units). Then the decay of emission anisotropy was calculated and plotted using Origin's function graph template. Memory units were converted to time units. All decays (fluorescence and anisotropy) were plotted on a natural log scale.
