Keep Imported Data in Project File and Free to Edit
By default data is protected from editing and for large data file, the data is excluded in Origin project to keep file size small. Though there are system variables to globally turn them off, it's hidden from GUI users. In Origin 2026b, dropdown list is added on Miscellaneous tab of Preferences: Options dialog to control data connection behavior.
