Purpose

This App calculates apparent integral in Cartesian and polar coordinates according to the current axis scales.

Installation

Download the apInteg.opx file, then drag-and-drop onto the Origin workspace. An icon will appear in the Apps Gallery window.

Operation

  1. Activate a graph window. Click the App icon to open the dialog.
  2. Choose area type from Mathematical Area and Absolute Area.
  3. Use From Value of Y Scale as Baseline: Use From value of vertical or radial scale as baseline after you change the scale of the plot. If unchecked, use 0 as baseline.
  4. Click OK.

Sample OPJU File
This app provides a sample OPJU file.  Right click the App icon in the Apps Gallery window, and choose Show Samples Folder from the short-cut menu. A folder will open. Drag-and-drop the project file Apparent Integration Sample.opju from the folder onto Origin. The Notes window in the project shows detailed steps.
Note: If you wish to save the OPJU after changing, it is recommended that you save to a different folder location (e.g. User Files Folder).

Updates:

v1.22:Add "Use From Value of Y Scale as Baseline" option.
v1.2:Fix mathematical area of minus radius in polar coordinates.
v1.1:Fix sampling interval bug.
