Purpose
This app can be used to import Google Sheet data in Origin. It can connect to the source file, when the source is changed, the imported data in Origin is also updated.
Installation
This App is pre-installed with Origin. If you haven’t found it, click Data: Connect to File: Add New. The App Center opens, listing only Connector Apps. Click the Download and Install button beside Google Sheet Connector to install the App.
Basic Usage
Several ways to import Google Sheets, with a worksheet active, we can:
- Select the Connector tab from the App Gallery
- Click Google Sheet Connector app. A message will pop up asking whether to open from a Google sheet URL or not.
- Select Yes to open the Connect to Web dialog and enter a Google Sheet share link.
- Select No to open the Google Drive browser and select a Google Sheet.
Or:
- Select menu Data: Connect to File: Google Sheets to open Google Drive Browser.
- Select a Google Sheet from Google Drive Browser.
Or:
- Select menu Data: Connect from Cloud or click the Open From Cloud button on the toolbar to open Google Drive Browser
- Select a Google Sheet from Google Drive Browser.
