Specify display format by 2nd parameter, e.g.

$(cm, .2) - show 2 decimal places

$(cm, *3) - show 3 significant digits

$(cm, .1*) - show 1 decimal place and trim 0’s at the end, e.g. 7 will show as 7 instead of 7.0
